Privacy
What Tanjung Dispatch keeps when you use this site, and why.
Contact form
Filling in the contact form sends us the name, email address and message you type, plus a phone number if you choose to add one. We use these details only to read and answer your message or to follow up on a tip or correction request.
Daily note sign-up
Signing up for the daily note stores your email address, used only to send that note. We do not sell or pass this address to another party for marketing, and unsubscribing removes it.
Site measurement
If you accept our cookie banner, a measurement cookie records which reports get opened, in aggregate rather than tied to your name. Declining means only the banner choice itself is stored, so the site does not keep asking. Details of both cookies are on the cookie page.
No account, no payment
There is nothing to buy on this site and no account to create, so we never collect payment details or a password.
Third-party delivery
Page fonts and some scripts load from outside delivery networks, which can log that your browser asked for them, in the ordinary way any such network operates. Depending on measurement and advertising identifiers the publisher configures at deploy time, the homepage may also load third-party measurement and advertising pixels (for example Meta Pixel and Google Analytics), set by the publisher's deployment rather than by anything chosen on this site, and capable of loading before or regardless of the cookie banner choice described on our cookie page.
How long we keep it
A contact form message is kept only long enough to deal with what it asks, then deleted. A daily note address stays on file until you unsubscribe. Aggregate measurement figures stay untied to any specific visitor.
Your choices
Decline the cookie banner or clear this site's stored data through your browser at any point to reset your choice. Unsubscribe from the daily note using the link in any note, or write in to ask that a contact form message be removed.
